By using GuruTyping (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GuruTyping. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

2. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information (name, email, mobile)
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Not share your account with others
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to bypass our anti-cheat measures
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute our passages or content without permission
  • Hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits
  • Upload malicious content or spam our contact form

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.

4. Free and Paid Services

GuruTyping offers a free tier and paid premium plans:

  • Free tier: Limited tests per day, free passages only. Always available.
  • Paid plans: Premium passages, unlimited tests, advanced analytics. Subject to subscription terms.

Pricing is shown on our pricing page. Prices may change with 30 days notice.

5. Subscriptions and Renewals

  • Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled
  • You can cancel anytime from your dashboard
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle
  • No refunds for partial months — see our Refund Policy

6. Content Ownership

All content on GuruTyping (passages, design, code, branding) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., text typed during tests). By submitting, you grant us a license to use it for service operation and analytics.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

GuruTyping is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:

  • That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • That our typing tests will guarantee you'll pass any government exam
  • That data will never be lost (we recommend you don't rely on us as a sole backup)

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuruTyping is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GuruTyping harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You can delete your account anytime by contacting support.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email or site banner. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
